We need to keep practising our writing skills and what better way than through our imagination and stories! This helps us express ourselves and builds on our language knowledge at the same time.
Here are the plot overviews of our winners and runners-up from ESO this year.
ESO1: Marina’s story was a love story with a sad ending mixed with some musical elements.
ESO2: Janna’s story was a murder mystery with a different colour rose being left at the crime scene. Was the murderer really the girl’s brother..?
ESO3: Anna’s story was very well told and followed the story of Evelyn. She finds a new book which narrates her life and she was able to continue writing the next part herself to avoid a terrible accident, she was able to rewrite the future! The power of writing!
Daniel’s story about the potter in ancient Greece sees Nikos facing the consequences of his actions but learning from his errors to rectify them.
ESO4: Emma’s story presents us with an alternative to the after-life we normally imagine. What if I told you that dying is not the end but a start…?
Nora’s tale is a beautiful and poignant tribute to grandparents which touches the reader’s heart.
Lara takes us forward in time to show us an earth that we are trying to avoid, that is suffering from the environmental consequences of our actions and is warning us to be careful and act.
Minerva’s chilling and extremely well-written tale sees the main character in a time loop nightmare, what on earth is going on?
